35. [ RL with Michael ]

[ They didn't go to one of the big cities, security was too high there these days-- at least in the good sections-- and even though their names and faces weren't known to the media, better safe than sorry. After all, if Nena got into a fistfight with someone over a sale rack, which had definitely never happened ever before ever, small-town cops were much preferred to a trained military police force, especially since they had no identification papers to speak of.

So they went to a middling-sized town in California, Nena spreading her arms wide and spinning herself around as they entered the local mall. She was wearing jeans and a plain T-shirt, thanks to alignment!nena throwing away anything remotely cute or flattering, but still managed to look happy as anything ]

God, I can't wait to get into some clothes that let me breathe!

[Rolls his eyes and flops down into one of the still standing chairs to finish eating his food, totally ignoring the stares of the other people in the food court.]

[ spends a few minutes in the bathroom with her head under the faucet to get the syrup out of her hair, then changes into some of the clothes she bought and dumps the old ones in the trash can. Comes out and grabs her chicken wraps, then kicks the leg of his chair ] Come on! We're shopping more!

[He has fries half stuffed in his mouth when he looks up at her.] Can't I finish eating first? [Of course, it comes out all muffled.]

Hey! [Wasn't expecting that and pulled up out of his chair. Twists himself free and glares at his sister.] Fuck, all you had to do was ask.

[Stuffs that last of his chicken nuggets in his mouth and grabs his Big Mac to take with him.]

You dumped Coke on me! You've lost the right to complain!

[Swallows the nuggets] I warned you; it's your own fucking fault. [Takes out his Big Mac and takes a bite out of it while they're walking.]

[Distantly, Michael wishes he wasn't so easily manipulated, but that is all buried under a hail of OH FUCK NO that's running through his head.]

You are such a bitch. [Shrugs her off and walks into the store] Let's go then, and get this fucking thing over with.

[ grins~! and bounces around the clothing racks grabbing shirts and pants to toss at him ]

[So badly tempted to just throw the clothes back at her, especially since he doesn't need that many clothes.] [Says nothing to her though; just seethes silently.]

What-the-fuck-ever. [Heads towards the changing rooms, pushing his way through a group of teenagers as though he didn't even see them.]

And you're coming out to show me, too!

[Calls out as he's entering the changing room.] BITCH!

[After a few minutes he comes back out again wearing fitted jeans and a white shirt.] [Glaring at Nena] My balls can't breathe.
