[ Nena's sitting in the lounge by the main departures board of the AEU Orbital Elevator drinking a coffee that's more sugar than drink, when she realizes she's just bullied a kid into letting her give him a tour. Wait, what? Seriously, what?

No, no, the goal was to totally freak him out by showing him space and the future and stuff! Which... he'll probably think is totally cool. What just happened and when did it happen??

Well, WHATEVER. She'd totally boss him around and freak him out, SO THERE. Little weirdo. ]

[OH GOD WHAT. Nobody said there would be tests!!!]

Um! How to-- stop? Uhhhh-- [He tries to lean towards his feet, the opposite direction of the way he's moving in, and ends up going into a really bad, clumsy somersault.]

[ she GIGGLES MADLY as he rolls through the air ] Bzzzzzt! Try again!

What! But-- I sort of stopped! I'm not going that way any more, at least. Also, now I think I am stuck.

[And he sort of is, because there's nothing near enough for him to kick off and he's not too good at moving on his own yet.]

[Because John is stupid and gullible and trusts Nena far too much already, he... flails around.]

I don't think this is really helping! Don't I need momentum or something?

That's cause you've gotta do it more! The more you move, the more momentum you have! [ she's in a gigglefit again... she can teach him properly after he stops rolling around like a turtle on his back. ]

[He's pretty much trying to barrel roll his way around. But with a lot more kicking and flailing.]

Hey, don't laugh at me, this is hard!

You just look so stupid! Okay, okay... [ she gets the giggles under control and pushes off over to him, grabbing onto his leg to halt his wild spinning ]

Okay so like, you can use your arms to turn around if you know what you're doing, here-- [ she demonstrates swinging one arm forward and one arm back like she was spinning herself in a desk chair, and sure enough, soon she's facing the other way ]

I feel stupid doing this.

[But he mimics her anyway, and his involves a lot more flailing and failure, but he eventually gets all the way around.] Jeez, I don't think I could ever get used to this! Isn't there an easy way?

Not unless you want me to drag you around on a leash! Anyway, that was a trick question. You never wanna stop until you run into something you can push off of, or you're gonna float around like an idiot!

Oh, come on! You told me to stop, you didn't say whether I should stop or not. [He reaches out just to hold onto her shoulder or something, because this is kind of weird and unnerving.]

... But, uh, okay, how do we get back once we're stuck floating around?

[ She grins and pushes him up towards the ceiling; the momentum sends her down to the floor. She kicks off again, back towards the hallway ]

Heee, pchooooo! Just kick off the ceiling!

[He yelps in surprise when she pushes him, but he does manage to twist around and plant his feet on the ceiling.]

Oh! Right, got it! [And he kicks off to follow her with his arms outstretched because he is the biggest dork.] Pchooooo!

[ THE DORKIEST. She grabs him once he gets near the door so he won't bounce off again, and because he's totally asking for it by being such a giant dork, gives him a SPACE NOOGIE while giggling.

Which is exactly like a regular one except IN SPACE. ]

[The fact that it's IN SPACE makes it okay, but he still squirms and flails his legs and holds onto her so he doesn't go floating off or anything. And he can't stop laughing.]

Haha, come on! Cut it out, you're messing up my hair! Nenaaaaaa!

[ It's a good thing you're twelve or this would be awkward. She drags him back to the normal-gravity hallway, her A WINNER IS ME face out in full force ]

Your hair's already stupid, there's like, no way I could make it worse!

[He nearly falls over when they make it back to normal gravity, but he manages to just stumble a little bit instead.]

Mean! My hair is awesome. It is the best hair. [And now he's try to fix it, which pretty much involves ruffling it up in a different direction.]

Okay, if by best you mean dorkiest! [ RUFFLES HIS HAIR AGAIN :Db ]

Hmmm... [ she taps her chin while she leads him back to the main concourse ] Well, there's tons of food! And there're all these exhibits about the elevator and stuff I guess, if you're into dorky stuff like that.

Isn't space food all weird and gross and in tubes? Can you get anything in space food tube form? [This is a more exciting concept than it should be.] We could look at them! And if they're boring, then we can find something else.

No way, this is where I come when I'm sick of eating space food! Prepackaged stuff gets like super old after a while, even if it's ~nutritionally adequate~. [ she rolls her eyes, and you can hear the tildes clank into place, as if she's quoting someone reading the regulations coughTieriacough. ] This is the European tower, so they've got like twenty kinds of chocolate and ice cream and cake and everything else!

[ once they're back out on the main concourse, she goes over to peruse a map of the station-- obviously, she doesn't make a habit of checking out the scientific side of the elevator ] If there weren't totally dumb regulations now, we could have seen a Hellion or something, maaaaan...

Oh! [He makes a face.] Okay, uh, not cake, I'm still preparing myself for my birthday. But ice cream sounds good!

[He just follows after her like a puppy and peers over her shoulder at the map, even if he has no idea what he's looking at or for.] What's a Hellion?

Were you like, looking forward to food in tubes? [ she rolls her eyes again, WHAT A WEIRDO ] A hellion's a mobile suit! There used to be this whole big military section, but blah blah Celestial Being blah blah blowing crap up. Whatever, right? [ and OFF SHE GOES, leading him off to the right ]

It was going to be crazy and different! I don't know if I can call it a real space experience without food in tubes. [He follows her like a good boy, but tries to tug at her shirt to get her attention.] Uh, hey, no, not whatever! That sounded like it was going to be an awesome story!
