[ They didn't go to one of the big cities, security was too high there these days-- at least in the good sections-- and even though their names and faces weren't known to the media, better safe than sorry. After all, if Nena got into a fistfight with someone over a sale rack, which had definitely never happened ever before ever, small-town cops were much preferred to a trained military police force, especially since they had no identification papers to speak of.

So they went to a middling-sized town in California, Nena spreading her arms wide and spinning herself around as they entered the local mall. She was wearing jeans and a plain T-shirt, thanks to alignment!nena throwing away anything remotely cute or flattering, but still managed to look happy as anything ]

God, I can't wait to get into some clothes that let me breathe!
