ooc. 20 things
1. A lot of Nena’s brattiness comes from her brothers. They spoiled her like nobody’s business, so she’s used to being able to get away with murder-- literally.
2. She loves anything with a strong taste, spicy, sweet, whatever. She lived on packaged space food for so long that anything with a flavor is heaven.
3. She hates wearing anything restrictive. Even though her flight suit covered her up that was fine, since it was elastic and easy to move in, but she prefers having as little covered as possible-- not out of exhibitionism, although she doesn’t have any particular problem with exposing her body, but for comfort’s sake.
4. She’s a genetically engineered human, grown out of modified bits of Ribbons’ DNA. She’s not exactly the same as Tieria-- he’s what’s known as an Innovator-- but the concept is similar. She and her brothers were specifically created to pilot Gundams.
5. Her Haro was originally given to Johann, but they had problems working together-- Haro has internal damage to his memory and artificial personality circuits, which lead to insubordination not usually found in robots. Nena grabbed him after Johann became too irritated and tried to dispose of him, and after a wonderful afternoon spent pranking Michael they realized that theirs was a much more productive partnership and Johann gladly gave him up.
6. She’s actually only been ‘alive’ for less than a year at this point. She and her brothers were essentially test-tube babies, who were activated as needed, so she has no childhood to speak of, and although quite a bit of knowledge about normal human life was transferred into her brain, there are some things she’s still unusually ignorant of.
7. If a boy flirts with her, she’ll tell them to shut up and try and get Michael or Cross to bitch them out. If the boy persists, though, she’ll warm up to them, because she likes both attention and people who defy the rules to get what they want.
8. She can interface with Veda using GN particles, which are essentially a technobabble multipurpose deus ex machina in the Gundam universe. She doesn’t have the control Tieria used to-- she can’t lock down other gundams like he can, for instance-- but she still has access, unlike Tieria.
9. She generally sees people as playthings. They’re not important to her or her goals, so why should she care? A lot of this is due to her not having had much human interaction with anyone but her brothers before now, and will probably get better as time goes on, but as of now the only (living) people she really cares about are Michael and Cross. Michael because he’s her brother and family is important to her, and Cross because he’s essentially taken Johann’s place a bit as someone who generally spoils her and cares for her.
10. She hates the cold. It was warm when she was on her own planet, and she lives in Nevada currently, so she complains whenever she has to go somewhere chilly.
11. She also hates school. She’s been attending Mikaela’s school while Cross masquerades as a teacher, and she finds it the dullest thing in the universe. She can ace math and science without even thinking, but history and English she’s not so great at-- and doesn’t bother to study or work at them, because she’s not there permanently so it doesn’t matter.
12. She flirts basically indiscriminately because she finds it fun, which earned her the instant dislike of quite a few girls at the school. She doesn’t see why it’s such a big deal, so she thinks of them as over-serious sticks in the mud that aren’t worth her time. (No, this doesn’t contradict what I said above about telling boys to knock it off if they flirt-- it’s only okay when she starts it.)
13. She’s recently discovered pop music, and sings along loudly in the shower. Her voice isn’t bad, but it’s nothing special.
14. She’s fine with gore and violence, obviously, but zombies creep her right the hell out. Dead people should stay dead, especially if they’re people you killed yourself because otherwise that’s just freaky.
15. She can’t stand being on her own. She’ll readily say “screw you” to people she doesn’t like and avoid them in favor of people she does, but if it’s a choice between being in the company of someone she hates or on her own, she’ll take company. It’s why she’s almost always in the company of Haro, even when she doesn’t really need to be.
16. Another reason she surrounds herself with people is to hide the fact that she really feels at a loss now that she doesn’t have her Gundam any more. Losing her entire purpose in life has made her just a little brattier than normal.
17. Her favorite color is pink.
18. She has very few, extremely vague memories of the time before she was woken up for real. She was essentially grown in a lab, and was kept unconscious for most of that time-- she was woken up periodically so the scientists could test her development, but all she remembers is a lot of bright lights and uncomfortable sensations of being prodded at.
19. The one time she remembers anything different, Johann had woken up a bit more than he was supposed to and started yelling out of shock; she managed to leap off the table and throw herself at one of the scientists before she collapsed. She wasn’t woken up again until the Trinities were needed.
20. She’s determined to one day go back, fix her gundam, and get revenge. She doesn’t have the means right now, but she’s keeping her eyes open for any opportunity.

which are essentially a technobabble multipurpose deus ex machina in the Gundam universe
So does that mean I ought to start rehearsing Ten's inevitable technobabble timey-wimey explanation of how they work? 8D We all know he LOVES the deux es machinas.
