Mikaela turned to look at Haro, but she wasn't really seeing him, just kind of responding to intrusion. She frowned as she turned to face Nena again, jerking her own fork out for one last bite before laying it down on the table.

"I don't know," she muttered, running one hand through her hair. "I'm sure he's got some stupid reason for it that he thinks makes sense." Her frown turned into a scowl. "One he won't bother to tell us unless we drag it out of him."
