trinities

For personal reference, a bunch of notes/headcanon/etc. on just what the hell the Trinitys are, because it's all scattered in bits and pieces and I forget half of it sometimes. And a bit on Nena's S2 development as well, because I got distracted. And some Haro stuff. DOES NOT ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE SOMETIMES just getting this down before I have to leave for work.

Random bits of Innovade info, from Good Haro's blog:
'QBW levels (A, B and so on) were something the Innovedo came up with on their own. The Innovedo were under the impression that they were A-Level, but in reality they were B. The [only] one who can utilize A-Level QBW is Setsuna. Souma’s QBW level is lower than that of the Innovedo. And Louise’s is even lower.' Nena's shown to eavesdrop in on Innovade communications, so chances are there's not much difference in level there.

Apparently the innovades all have nanomachines which prevent aging by repairing telomeres; my guess is that the Trinitys have either an altered or downgraded form, because Nena clearly ages over the timeskip
BASICALLY Ribbons went all lol biology and based the Trinitys off of himself, so they're... sort of innovators. There's a line in the blog that says 'Until 2302, because Ribbons was was in CB, the Trinities were 5 years of age (er… I don’t really follow)' which I think is a mistranslation-- I think what it means to say is that Ribbons created the Trinitys five years before the series started, when he went a bit rogue. Basically I need to get my hands on these novels rofl. Since they do age, this would mean that Nena *~*popped into existence*~* when she was physically around twelve.

'You can’t access level 7 without permission from Veda. There is someone within Trinity who can access level 7. (we know now that it’s Nena)' I think what this means is that Nena's the only sibling who can access level 7-- I still maintain that the other two have mad hax as well, just not that particular Veda access, because that makes sense.

Innovators in the default have no bits. We've worked out headcanon that the Trinitys have bits but they are not fully functional bits, because while they look more definitely male/female than the innovators (and are listed as such, where the innovators aren't) you can't have your genetically engineered pilots leaving mutant babies around. ~~And Nena's whiny enough already, no need to throw PMS into the mix /shot~~ Also since they're based off beings that can't reproduce there's no real reason to add that back in.

More headcanon (backed up by epic research, thank you shiro) says Veda is coded in Sanskrit, so Nena knows it in a programming-language sense. She also knows German (their names are-- roughly-- German in origin, so it gives a plausible Earth-based identity if they need one), Chinese, and English, those last two on the logic that they're the most common languages and would make communication easier, also on the logic that the 'you have witnessed too much' message was in English. (No, she should not logically be saying Miha-nii, no, I am not going to change it at this point, I'm too used to it.)

Design Works lists their names as codenames, but I think that's just for consistency with the other meisters: Tieria's is also listed as a code name, but none of the four have any other name ever given.

I actually think it's likely that if Nena noticed this it could be part of her motivation for killing Wang, but that's a bit of me trying to parse her S2 development so I can figure out where to take her from here seeing as we're AUing a bit, and that'll have to wait until I rewatch S2 because I don't remember it very well lmfao. )8

i.e. she does have the capability for patience and at least a bit of planning ahead, but the motivation in-series is not so much there any more-- or at least, it's not the same sort of situation-- she's still got Michael so isn't quite as bitter, and when she heads off with CB she'll be able to grit her teeth and be on her best behavior as long as she's treated like an equal. It's why she usually shuts up when Tieria tells her to these days; he's her best chance of getting her hands on a suit again, so she damn well better get on his good side. Chances of her trying to shoot Ali if she meets him are still approximately 150%, but at least she won't inadvertantly end up on the same side as him and flip her shit lmfao )8

Bad Haro:
Is from an expedition to Jupiter that... something happened to. Is at least 80 years old. Apparently has damaged memory circuits. (Headcanon states he has damaged AI circuits too, because he's a jerkass.) Apparently is some sort of prototype/precursor/whatever Haro, because all the other CB haros call Lockon's haro 'big brother' and he calls Bad Haro 'big brother'. Apparently has big deep dark secrets stored in him somehow. Apparently is FUCKING INDESTRUCTIBLE. Those scattered metal bits are all that remains of Nena's gundam after it gets completely obliterated, and that is Bad Haro, flying merrily away. The two guys that discovered him are Alejandro's ancestors, so either he gave it to Ribbons or Ribbons stole it from him, and then gave it to the Trinitys.
