No. Can't say I do. Practically every time I've spoken to Tieria, it's ended up with him telling me about how expendable I am and how's he's going to kill me if I don't hang on his every fucking word and follow his orders.

Am I supposed to just believe-- [his gaze drifts back to the computer screen and he falls silent for a couple of seconds] It doesn't make any fucking sense. [He doesn't sound angry though, just. Completely and utterly bewildered.]

It's like he said! He's horrible to you, he knows it, but he ends up being a dick even if he doesn't want to, like some kind of weird Tourette's. You know what he thinks about Lockon, if he didn't mean what he was saying he wouldn't say it.

[ Thinks for a minute, swinging her legs, and then shrugs ] It just kinda happened! It's weird, you know? We totally girl-bonded when he was pretending to be Ila, we'd bitch about all the girls who treated us like crap. I mean, besides you and Cross he was like my only friend there until Mikaela came back. And he's kind of a total mess sometimes but he had my back so I had his, too, I spent forever with him as a girl so it doesn't really bug me.

[Puts the laptop to one side so he can flop backwards onto the bed.] Somehow, I don't think it'll be that easy for me and him, sis. Considering he told me I wouldn't be able to see you unless I let myself get implanted with a fucking sedative device, it's gonna take a lot more than that [He gestures at the laptop] before I start liking him.

Well, it's a start! I mean you used to like him, right? And all that was cause other people would complain, anyway.

[He laughs but there's not a lot of humour in there] 'Like' is a strong word. He still pissed me off, but he amused me too, so I could tolerate him, I guess.

[Rolls his eyes] And don't give me that. You know, he never actually said to me 'Hey Michael, I don't want to actually do this, but I kinda have to' to me. He just said 'Do this or else', and when that failed 'well, I'm doing this for you; it's for your own good'.

[He snorts] And you wondered why I fucking hated him.

Like I said, he's got I'm-a-dick tourette's, cause he said stuff like that to me. Maybe we should ask Mikaela if he's compensating for--
